About Kirsten Erin

My name is Kirsten Erin (Ren, to my friends). I'm twenty-two years old and live in Seattle, Washington. I live with my cat in a tiny studio apartment while I work retail and am struggling to write a novel. 

I have always had a passion for reading and writing.  This blog grew out of that passion and acts as an extension of both. I spend most of my time at the public library and any excuse to get more reading under my belt is always appreciated.

My dream is to be a published writer of Young Adult Fiction. It's a dream I know I can accomplish. Right now, I do most of my writing on my blogs (this one and Her Fingertips Whisper), and occasionally FanFiction. These avenues help me improve my writing through practice. At the moment, I am deep into writing a story I hope I will be able to get published, though it's far from done right now.

Reading, on the other hand, is basically a reminder of what I'm aspiring to accomplish. By reading, I am learning new styles of writing, accumulating knowledge I may need, and seeing how to execute the writing of a book. As John Green so aptly put it, "I really think that reading is just as important as writing when you're trying to be a writer. Because it's the only apprenticeship we have. It's the only way of learning how to write a story."

So that about sums it all up. I hope you enjoy my book blog and that my craziness doesn't scare you away. I promise, you get used to it after a while.
